Nollisa (Lisa)'s Story

Life After Highschool I fell into a lifestyle of questionable morality. I straightened out some, had 1 girl in '85. Fell into hard times, had another girl in '92. Had another girl in '93. Married in '94 to her daddy, whom I met in '89. We have a total of 5 girls now. We have a home in Flagstaff Az. up where the birds sing and the pine and skunk smells are really from trees and skunks!!!!! PLEASE VISIT smithmagenis org TO READ ABOUT A VERY RARE [approx. 500 cases WORLD WIDE], GENETIC SYNDROME of which our PRECIOUS 4TH DAUGHTER WAS BORN WITH. Awareness, understanding and funding IS DRASTICALLY NEEDED TO IDENTIFY, TREAT, RESEARCH, and PREVENT THIS SYNDROME! Life is going well. Our girls are all very beautiful & smart. My oldest lives in Louisianna now. The next 2 in line are doing well in school & looking forward to a fun-filled Summer vacation. The youngest turned 3 last January & is STILL working on the potty training stuff (she is being stubborn!!). #4 is still non-verbal, doesn't walk & doesn't eat solids. She gets Therapies regularly & is making slow progress in many areas. I won the honorable, "Most Children" Award ribbon at our 20th yr. reunion in 2003, WooWoo!! I Have yet to make it to a Big Adventure, something always comes up to prevent me attending. Maybe next year!! I have made a few connections with some very dear & cherished friends thanks to classmates! Hope to hear from other Maryvale Alumni '77-'85. MHS STILL RULES!!!!! LISA (Spaaaz) School OMG!! High School was THE best!!! All the plays, concerts, PARTIES, Football games, Dances... & FRIENDS!!!!!!!!! Ohhhhhhhh my friends.... You were ALL the BEST!!!! Kim (Ducky) Lambert, where ARE you??? Christy & Yvonne Poole, Brian Simmons (I know you married Yvonne), Joey Moore, Billy Wisniewski(sp?), Anita Castro, Brad Hutchings, Karen Brandon, Mindy Keeling, Pat Hammrick, John Van Dyke.... WHERE ARE YOU ALL????? I've found Karl, Felecia, Kenny & Kathy, Christine (from Jr. High), Christine (from 2nd grade),Vaughn, Yvonne M., Tina, Shawn, Linda & a few others. I miss you all SOOO very much!!!!!!! I can't even express how I feel about all my old friends!! Everyone has a small place in my heart........FOREVER. Each & every one of you has touched my life & left lasting impressions. I think of you all often... if we EVER partied, played videos, watched movies, went to Lake Pleasant, went to a Park, went hiking, went out for Pizza, went for a drive, were in a Play toge...Expand for more
ther, or just hung out together.....I remember you & you've a perminant place in my heart. I love you.... my friends... Old & new...... I hope to hear from you all again someday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey... feel free to look me up (by current name) on MySpace!!!! Let's get reacquainted!!!! College Well, College was Al Collin's Graphic Design School. Known now as Collin's College. In the early years, they did a really good job of convincing untalented kids that they had artistic abilities. Then after they had you believing you had a future in Art & Design... they signed you up for Grants & Loans & then, when your money came in..... they took it... yes, took it.... & left you to pay for supplies & tuition on your own. {guess that's how they were able to build that lovely state-of-the-art facility in Tempe & stop using the quaint little old Sear's Appliance store warehouse they started out in.} For those of us who's parents couldn't afford to pay for what Al Collin's stole in Grant & Loan monies, we went as far as our part time jobs (minus rent, food, & utilities) could take us, then we had to drop out..... with no degree & still no talent for Graphic Design. Turning around 5 years later (when the IRS garnished our tax returns for the back due loan monies) & suing Al Collin's for the repayment of the loans we never saw any of the money from & all the interest. Too bad I didn't have the time, or money to sue for the Grant monies too... that would've been true justice!!! Workplace O M G!!! I have done it all... (well, almost).. From flipping burgers, being Chuck E. Cheese, selling printer toner on the phone, delivering auto parts, painting & selling statues on street corners, co-owning a remodeling business, buying & selling items at weekend Swap Meets, watching macaroni products scoot down a conveyor belt, building boxes that transmit cell phone signals (they were sent to the Army in Kuwait), making desk & door plaques, making rubber stamps, delivering auto parts, delivering film, delivering pharmaceuticals, delivering cookies, packing boxes for a Moving company, delivering home health medical supplies, making quartz crystals for transmittion of tv/sattelite signals (for tv sets), and delivering auto parts. OK, so I haven't come close to 'doing it all' ...... but it sure feels like it sometimes. Along with all the paid jobs, there's all the unpaid things that go along with being a parent to (eventually) 5 kids. The HARDEST job yet......parenting!
